[MHN] Japanese girl group ANGERME will be having their first Korea Tour at Rollinghall in Hongdae, this upcoming June 29th. BFK NET shared the news on April 12th about the group's upcoming visit.

ANGERME is a group part of a major project called 'Hello! Project'. Some other members of the project include 'Morning Musume', another popular girl group in Korea.

Since Korea opened up its censorship of Japanese Culture in 2004, Japan's mainstream music scene has been mostly pop or rock music. Bands such as X-Japan naturally influenced the Korean music scene too and many other Japanese rock groups toured in Korea. But not many idol groups toured in Korea.

As such, ANGERME's tour in Korea holds much meaning in possibly opening doors for more Japanese idol groups to tour in Korea as well.

In 2016, Morning Musume toured over Korea with great success.

Staffs behind the works shared, "We had some background with Korea. The group's label Upfront Promotion worked with 'Winter Sonata' and for Park Yongha's works in Japan. In a way this company was the head front in spreading the Korean wave in Japan, so for this label to reverse and come to Korea means a lot."

Ticket releases for ANGERME's first Korea tour will open on April 23rd for VIPs, and the 25th for regular sales via YES24.
