[문화뉴스 MHN 서민종 기자] 코로나 바이러스가 남아공을 휩쓸고 있다. 그 여파로 시릴 라마포사포스 남아공 대통령이 3월 26일 자정부터 21일간의 국가 봉쇄령을 내렸고 그에 따라 남아공 국방군이 거리에 배치되었다.
국가 봉쇄 기간 동안 통행이 제한되며 식료품을 사거나 응급상황일 때만 외출이 허용된다. 이 때문에 생계에 여유가 없는 가정의 경우 국가 봉쇄 기간 동안 어떻게 버틸지가 제일 걱정이라고 한다.
남아공에서는 오늘 코로나 바이러스 확진자가 1천 명 이상으로 집계되었고 사망자는 2명이 나왔다.
