Once the little bell-shaped flowers bloom in April and May, the blueberry fruits start to hang between June and August. As the summer goes the berries turn from dark blue to purple, dark purple and to a reddish color. Even the blueberry leaves are known for its effectiveness for eye health. 

The 'Green Blueberry Farm' is approved as an eco-friendly organic tour-farmhouse. Originally situated at Yechun, this farm opened here at AhnMyunDo in order to lead a new way of farming berries. 

It's a 100% organic farming house and you can tell by looking around. Benefiting from the sea fogs all year long around the West Sea, the house activates a natural cleaning and fermenting system. 

The unique farming technique at the 'Green Blueberry Farm' is planting the trees at a non-woven pot. To maximize the effects of the eco-friendly made ferments, the blueberries are planted above the flattened non-woven sheets that cover the vinyl over the dirt. The neighboring farmers used to say the house has gone bizarre about the planting process but it shows how much effort and passion the landowners have to harvest the best blueberries. 

The farm is almost 4,000 m² big, and between the blueberry pots are lounges or other farming gardens open for all visitors to enjoy during the stay. 

For each person a 500g container and gloves, arm sleeves are provided. During the hour long open house, you can freely pick and eat the blueberries, and observe all sorts of blueberry trees. 

Around the farm is a 1-year old tree to a 2-year old tree and up to 4-year old trees that start blossoming the berries. You can even buy one of them too. 

Thanks to the environmental friendly farming, there are a lot of bugs like spiders crawling here and there. But they say the sweetest blueberries have the most bugs around it and spider webs around any blueberry tree hint a lot of juicy-ness on the way. 

There's a white skin that covers a ripe blueberry, which is the enzyme. It's even nutritious to eat it with yogurt.

Blueberries are called as the superfood, known for its effectiveness to the eyes, anti-aging, antioxidants, and more. But purchasing enough isn't so easy at the supermarkets because of the heavy pricings. Organic blueberries, you can't even dream. But visiting one of these open farms is a great option if you want to pick up some fresh and reasonably priced berries. Go off to AhnMyunDo for a sea walk, a mudflat experience, and a blueberry hunt!
