[문화뉴스 박은숙] 예술의 종말이후 예술가들은 부활할 수 있었을까? 정영한 작가에게 브를로 상자는 우리가 찾아야 하는 가치를 가지고 있는 신화일 것이다. 작가가 영향 받았던, 영감을 받아 세상에 내놓은 작품을 만날 수 있는 시간이 되었다.
전시는 영은미술관에서 오는 3월 18일 부터 4월 23일 까지이다.
미술관에서 공식 오프닝 행사는 2023년 4월 8일(토) 오후 2시 이다.
작가 노트 <브릴로라는 신화: 이미지와 재현에 관한 문제들에 관하여>, 2023
“이미지와 재현에 관한 문제들에 대한 나의 회화적 탐구는 익숙하고도 낯선 충격들에서 ‘예술의 종말 이후’ 또한 그 이후의 예술의 가능성을 발견하려는 시도로 이어졌다. … 나에게 신화란 우리가 반드시 되찾아야 할 잊고 사는 소중한 가치들에 대한 문제 제기, 나에게 많은 영향을 주었던 예술사의 유령들에 대한 오마주, 그리고 이러한 묵직한 메시지들을 길게 설명하지 않아도 한 번에 전달될 수 있는 회화 이미지의 힘을 되살려내는 것과 다름없다.”
Recently, I turned to emphasize the conceptual part of my painting than drawing skills, but I still considering about the issues of image and representation in contemporary art. My recent art works are related with the problem about ‘after the end of art,’ from this, the painting is linked to discover the possibility of painting in new era. ‘My myth’ is telling about the precious value in our time, homage to the ghost of art history, and the revival the power of image through painting.
